Introduction:
Halal, an industry which is set to grow over $1.6 Trillion market, despite
gaining momentum as the new economic form in recent years, is still challenged
by the lack of uniformity in its certification process.
This program exposes participants to the basic concepts of halal in Islam. In increasing knowledge on halal in business, participants are exposed to the local and international halal industry, introduced to the concept of Halal and Haram and learn of the requirements for halal.
Course Objectives:
· To provide understanding on Principle and Halal Concept.
· To increase the level of awareness among relevant personnel on Halal fundamental and best halal practices in food industry.
· To provide understanding on important monitoring of food chain from sourcing of the raw materials until the finished product being delivered to the customer.
· To provide an overview on requirements of Pakistan and Gulf Halal certification and Halal Food Standard PS:3733 and GSO 2055-2:2021.
